Nǐ hǎo (Hello there)! My name is Scarlett, a private tour guide in Shanghai and some places nearby. I had studied tourism management for 4 years at university. After graduation, I have been working as a private guide since 2015. 

When we book a tour, the first thing that comes to our mind is where we should visit. Also, it is hard for travellers to get know real information with limited time. Moreover, an unsuitable recommendation can waste lots of time and money. Therefore, I would like to share with you my personal opinion about attractions and provide you genuine personal tours according to your own preference. 

For most first-time visitors, it is important to visit some highlights, but it would be more interesting to sense local life, taste food, and enjoy further experiences. On my tour, I hope to combine the neglected, traditional elements of Shanghai with the bustling, modern metropolis and world-class attractions that entice many travellers. 

However, how to balance sightseeing and experience? A good tour guide with good personality is the key to provide an experience of a lifetime! As a guide, I know the significance of the guiding. Therefore, I am very careful and picky about choosing tour guides for my guests when I am not available. I normally make sure they have similar values as mine, have worked for more than 3 years, and speak good English. For now, I am fortunate to have a few good tour guide friends who I can trust. I am very confident that they offer the best possible experience for my guests. For me, having my guests' trust is crucial and something I treasure. I never want to break that trust, but rather maintain it forever.
