Sample One: Relaxing and Classical Itinerary

West Lake: No doubt, West Lake is the symbol of Hangzhou. The reason why it is so well-known is because it not only offers stunning views, but also is a complex of Chinese history and culture. When you enjoy this natural form of sightseeing, beautiful stories from China’s past could add a charming side to your trip. You can take a cruise, bike, or walk around West Lake. You can choose to explore it in any way you like!

Lingyin Buddhist Temple and Feilai Peak (the Peak Flown From Afar): Lingyin Buddhist Temple is located inside Feilai Peak attraction. The feature of Feilai Peak is Buddhist stone sculptures; there are different shapes, different Buddhas. Among them, the most famous sculpture is the Laughing Buddha. Due to its peaceful atmosphere and time-honored temple, it also is one of most popular attractions in Hangzhou.

Tea museum and Dragon-well tea garden: It is a great place to view a real Dragon-well tea garden in Hangzhou. Most Chinese people are tea drinkers. Hangzhou is famous for Dragon-well Tea. Dragon-well Tea is the top tea among the various Chinese teas. Wandering in the tea garden will bring you refreshment and a sense of understanding of Chinese tea culture.

Sample Two: Deep-Discovering Hangzhou

Cycle around West Lake, and more hidden lakes away from tourists: West Lake can be crowed sometimes, especially during festivals. Chinese tourists flock to West Lake. Therefore, it would be nicer to view different small lakes away from tourists. On the way, we also could have a glimpse of local life.

Walk in Dragon-tea village: If you want to see local life, and a real tea garden, is there anything better than visiting a tea village? And it is a chance to buy good quality green tea.

Tea museum and Dragon-well tea garden: Same as Sample One.

More alternative sites you can choose:

Eight Diagrams Field: an area related to Tai Chi culture, with different seasonal plants and handmade Chinese crafts stalls, including lessons on how to make products from China yourself. It is a place to take a rest and have peace.

Leifeng Pagoda: It is one of the symbols of West Lake. However, personally, looking at it is nicer than climbing it. I don’t recommend climbing it.

Xixi Wetland: a place of nature and peace, with rivers and boat trips.

Yue Fei's Temple and Tomb: the most respectable soldier and poet of the Song dynasty.

Song Dynasty Theme Park: the most popular show in Hangzhou, based on the Song dynasty's history. It is mostly for fun and to bring you back to experience ancient China. You can book it in advance!

Impressions of West Lake Show: an outside classical performance based on West Lake. You can book it in advance!

Transportation:

We can book the bullet train in advance, and it takes 60 minutes from the train station in Shanghai to Hangzhou. Otherwise, we can rent a private car to visit it, and it takes about 2.5 hours from Shanghai to Hangzhou.
